Over the past few months JC Decaux have been working off peak at the Gogar Roundabout preparing foundations for 2 large gantries which will support 2 large screens. JC Decaux are nearly ready to lift these gantries into place. Signage was placed out last week on the approaches to Gogar Roundabout to inform drivers of the impending road works. This is not a typical crane lift as the gantries come in 4 sections which must be assembled on site and then lifted into place using much larger cranes. JC Decaux will make the decision on Wednesday 12th as to whether the works will go ahead as planned. Right now long range forecasts look favourable.
JC Decaux plan to carry out the works as follows;
Throughout Thursday and Friday we will be monitoring these works closely and members of the Council’s Traffic Signals team will be on site to make any adjustments that might be required.
